Princess Pennie

I found these pictures of Pennie, and even though they are not very recent, they are too cute NOT to include. Miss Pennie was at Auntie Katie's house on this day, and Gabs and Olivia decided to make her a princess by dressing her up in this costume. Even if they are a little big on her, she has to be the cutest princess ever :) Recovering from a cold and a little buggy showing, but still royalty :)

First Steps!!

So - Miss Penelope took her first steps last night! Grammy Gray said that she had seen her take a couple during the day, but of course I did not believe her until I got home. Finally at about 6:00pm we were on the floor, Daddy almost passed out from eating too much chicken at dinner and me feeling like a pregnant beached whale, and she did it! She stood up, did a little squat and wiggle, then took two steps toward us before falling and yelling "Ya!!!" and clapping her hands! We have gotten into the habit of clapping and cheering every time she falls so that it's a game :) So, I guess she is officially a 'big girl' now, even if I don't want her to be - but I guess it had to happen at some point. And by the time *child not yet announced* comes along, she will be cruising all over the place :) Lord help us~

The Many Faces of Pens

Oh, the many faces of Penelope Sue. One minute she is happy as a clam, dancing around the living room with nothing but a smile. Two minutes later she can be a fussing Gus. Then, the final chapter is my personal favorite, when she passes out from exhausion and is all quite!!

This is Pennie's way of telling Mommy that she is NOT happy, and I should know. She inherritied a little bit of Daddy's temper I fear :)


And the way that she scrunches up her nose when she laughs at something - oh it just kills me!! I love this kid :)

Strawberry Festival ~ June 2008

Pennie was so excited to get her face painted just like Mommies that she gave lots of kisses....... Then we went around with Auntie Kate, Auntie Jen, Gabs, Liv, Uncle Ty and Daddy to go Craft Shopping - LOVE IT!

This is Pennie's Very First Strawberry Festival. If any of you know Hayley (me), this is my Christmas in the Summertime. The one day that I truely looks forward to all year long - and this year I was determined to show Pennie a good time and get her hooked on the Festival :) Face painting, ballons, strawberry shortcake...it's all here...

Softball Games

Well, even if it is a bit buggy on the nights that Pennie and Mommy grace Daddy and Uncle Ty with their presence at Softball games, we love it :) Pennie loves to watch the game and any time somone hits a ball ( good or bad) she cheers like hell :) These shots were taken right after Mommy decided to cut her bangs, against Daddy's wishes, and looks increasing like George Clooney circa 1992 with his Little Ceasar Haircut. But I still think she looks pretty cute:) They will grow back....eventually...

York Beach in May~

Here are some photos of Miss Pennie's fist trip to the Beach. We decided that Daddy loves the beach SO much that he could take us for some fun in the sun on his birthday, May 26th :)

Actually, Daddy HATES the beach (we have no idea why) but he was a good sport and took us anyway because it was so beautiful outside. She loved all the sand and water - and drank so much of it that she ended up getting sick on Mommy :)

We then decided to take her to the swing set, which she LOVED!! Then we took her down to get a Strawberry Milkshake and as expected.....she loved it :) I think we have a beach bum in the making - sorry to disappoint Daddy - But I think you have many years on the sand ahead of you... :)

Here Goes Nothin'

So, because my previous web site to try and help Family and Friends keep up with Pennie was impossible to upkeep, we are going to try this site - I think it might be a little easier :) So here Goes~~~
